Habit Number Eleven – Body Brushing
Dry Body Brushing is one habit I am extremely passionate about. You may have seen an Instagram story of mine or read our Dry Body Brushing Guide over at The Harvest Table.
Dry Body Brushing is my favourite way to de-stress, get my blood flowing, simulate lymph nodes and is just a healthy habit I sincerely believe in.
Why body brushing?
Many people are familiar with the circulatory system that runs through our bodies but there is a very similar network of vessels that forms the lymphatic system, which often gets overlooked. It is essentially the body’s waste removal system and therefore often associated with “detoxing” and drainage.
The lymphatic system is a network of vessels and nodes, or ‘glands.’ Our glands filter the fluid and are responsible for the production of anti-bodies to help you fight infection.
